The CSU football team received more bad news on Monday when head coach Steve Fairchild announced that another player may be out for the remainder of the 2009 season.

Eric Peitz, the Rams' starting tight end, exited CSU's 34-16 loss against Air Force in the first half with a shoulder injury and would never return. On Monday, Fairchild said it was unlikely Peitz would be back this year.

Peitz is fourth on the team in receiving yards, where he has 14 receptions for 114 yards. He also has three touchdowns, which ranks him second on the team, tied with wide receiver Tyson Liggett.

Fairchild said it would be up to tight ends Norman Gee and Adam Seymore to step up the final three games of 2009.
