The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for areas in the Denver metro area effective until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 7.

Funnel clouds were spotted over Lafayette and Thornton around 1:20 p.m., and also over parts of Aurora and Centennial.

Wind damage and gas leaks were reported at the Southlands shopping center in Aurora.

Hail covered parts of northern Colorado and Denver Sunday morning.

In Fort Collins, the storm passed east within an hour, leaving the skies only briefly without sun.
