Fans will have the opportunity to meet with the coaching staff of the football team, including second-year head coach Steve Fairchild. Admission and food is free at the event.
The brown bag lunch is a continuation of recent community outreach efforts and fan-centric activities hosted by the Athletics Department, in hopes of improving community support for the team.
Last year, in a turnaround season, the football program earned a 7-6 record, including a win in the New Mexico Bowl at the end of the year. Still, with an average student attendance that hovered at just above 70 percent capacity and only one student ticket sellout (homecoming against TCU), the department is looking to create buzz around the team that will carry into next season.
