It looks like you failed to do a little fact checking before writing your article. No big deal, I understand with finals coming up and all.
Anyway, you say that polar bears are dying from global warming -- well, the population of polar bears is increasing, according the latest survey by the Canadian government.
Currently the population is at 2,100 bears. In the 1980s, the population was around 800. That is a 262.5 percent increase.
Maybe all those greenhouse gasses are collecting in the Arctic Circle and magically turning into new bears.

Ironically, it looks like you failed to check your facts prior to writing your letter to the editor Seth.
If you think that a population of 2,100 of these animals is large enough that it does not warrant concern, then you would be mistaken. (Continued…)

I believe the correct % increase is (2100-800)/800 or 162%, not the 262% you claim. Are you sure you have the right major? I hear creative writing is an interesting field. (Continued…)
