KCSU DJ profile
Nate
Issue date: 4/16/09 Section: Verve
DJ: Nate
Time: Mondays and Saturdays 4 to 7 p.m.
Real Name: Nate Prewitt
Major: Computer Science
Years at KCSU: 1
Q: What's your favorite music genre?
A: Acoustic alternative would probably be what I listen to the most, but I don't think I can limit myself to one "favorite" genre. It all depends on my mood I guess; I'm kind of bipolar about my music and have what some might call music ADD.
Q: What's your favorite album right now?
A: We got a CD into the studio last week -- Metric's new album "Fantasies" -- which I have had on repeat since. That's probably closely rivaled with the Decemberists' new album "The Hazards of Love."
Q: Why should somebody listen to your show?
A: Well there are plenty of reasons to hear my voice coming out of your speakers. As my fellow DJ Macondo says, "All the boys and girls love Nate because of his charming, non-threatening personality and his smile once brought a puppy back to life." Since all of these things are clearly true because they were said on the radio, you should check it out. I also play music and stuff, so that's cool, too.
