A runner runs around the track inside of the Field House, located on College Avenue, on Jan. 27. This weekend three indoor athletes competed in the "Last Chance" meet at Iowa State Univeristy in Ames, Iowa.

This weekend was the final opportunity for indoor track and field athletes to qualify for nationals. Three CSU athletes went to Iowa State University to try to qualify for nationals, but only one of them has the potential to compete in the final meet.

Weight throwers Alex Godell and Missy Faubus, along with runner Ryan Friese were the three that competed.

Godell went into the meet ranked No. 13 in the nation. He did not improve his mark over the weekend, and will find out today if he will compete in the national tournament next week.

Faubus was the only athlete that improved her mark this weekend.

Her new season best was 50 feet, 10 inches. Despite the improvement, it will not be enough to get an invitation to nationals.

Friese was the only runner from CSU to compete this weekend. He did not improve his time in the 800-meter event and remains ranked No. 48 in the nation.
