Yarbrough, who has been on administrative leave since Dec. 19, resigned following a meeting with Frank to discuss "all of the findings of the investigation as well as the overall status of the CSU Police Department," according to a statement by Frank.
Frank also said that Yarbrough, who also taught a law enforcement class at CSU, will not be returning to the University as an instructor. He is also eliminating the position of associate vice president of public safety, according to the statement.
There will be a nation-wide search for Yarbrough's replacement, Frank said in a statement. In the meantime, the department will be under the charge of Interim Police Chief Frank Johnson until Yarbrough's replacement is found.
