In light of CSU President Larry Penley's resignation Wednesday, a semi-annual faculty dialogue with administrators that would focus on university budget numbers, originally scheduled for tonight, will be postponed until further notice, university spokesperson Michele McKinney said.

Interim President Tony Frank is working with the CSU System Board of Governors to reschedule the meeting after the commotion surrounding Penley's resignation has died down, McKinney said.

She also said instead of focusing on financial issues, the postponed meeting will be a forum for faculty to ask about the university's future and transition following Penley's departure from CSU.

The board, which is not usually involved in faculty dialogues, has expressed a desire to take part in the rescheduled meeting, McKinney said.

The university is entering a period of great transition, McKinney said, and as such, the faculty dialogue will include "lots of listening" by administrators and members of the board.

"They will listen to the faculty, answer their questions, and talk about the future," McKinney said.
