Media Credit: Katie Stevens Sen. Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of 20,000 plus today at the CSU Oval.

Sen. Barack Obama wrapped up his speech in the CSU Oval at about 4 p.m. today. He spoke to a crowd of more than 20,000 for about a half hour about many of the same campaign points he has been toting for a while -- his tax and healthcare plans as well as taking jabs at Republican candidate John McCain.

A miles-long line began to form for the event at 4:15 this morning. By 1:30 p.m. the line had wound from the Oval to Meridian Avenue, north to Laurel Street, then west to Shields Street. The line then hugged the western edge of campus until reaching Pitkin, at which point it extended south to Braiden hall.

Many who showed up after noon did not get in to see the senator speak.
