CSU faculty member dies in bike collision

Rebecca Allen, an undergraduate adviser for the department, and friend Jen Garvey were hit on Drake road at about 5:20 a.m., according to a Fort Collins Police Services press release.
Allen was taken to the Poudre Valley Hospital, where she died of her injuries. Garvey was treated for minor injures in the accident, at the Medical Center of the Rockies and released shortly after.
Allen and Garvey were both wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to the press release.
The FCPS suspects that Price was under the influence of alcohol. A DUI investigation is pending.

Price should be arrested for murder and attempted murder. A death sentence would be justified for the life he took. Drinking and driving is a choice. If you choose to drink and drive you also choose to be responcible for the results. (Continued…)

While this event was surely a tragedy, and one that could have been avoided, the punishment should fit the crime. The death penalty is to be reserved for only the most heinous of crimes;almost always requiring premeditation. (Continued…)
