CSU gets new men's basketball coach

North Dakota State's Tim Miles to get job today

The CSU men's basketball program will name Tim Miles its new head coach at a press conference at 4 p.m. today, according to sources within the athletic department.

Miles, 40, has been the head coach at Division-1 independent North Dakota State for the last six seasons. He compiled a career record of 99-71 for the Bison, including a 20-8 season this year.

Miles' squads are most remembered for two upset victories over top-15 teams in the last two seasons. NDSU defeated No. 8 Marquette in Milwaukee, 64-60, on Dec. 2, 2006 and No. 15 Wisconsin, 62-55, on Jan. 15, 2006.

Miles has visited Fort Collins in each of the last two seasons with his squad. CSU won on both occasions.

A native of Doland, S.D. and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mary in North Dakota and his master's degree from Northern State University from South Dakota.
