A masterpiece by one of the world's greatest playwrights, Saint Joan is a spellbinding portrayal of Joan of Arc's rise to glory and her subsequent martyrdom. Shaw received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925 "for his work which is marked by both idealism and humanity."
