Committee reaches goal to complete memorial

LITTLETON - With the help of an anonymous donor, the memorial to the 13 people killed at Columbine will be completed this summer. "It's great news. It is going to be finished in July," said Don Fleming, whose daughter, Kelly, 16, died at Columbine with 11 other students and a teacher on April 20, 1999.

California highway interchange collapses after tanker catches fire

OAKLAND, Calif. - A section of freeway that funnels traffic off the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge collapsed early Sunday after a gasoline tanker truck overturned and caught fire, authorities said. The heat from the fire was intense enough to melt part of the freeway and cause the collapse, but the truck's driver walked away from the scene with second-degree burns.

BAGHDAD - Iran agreed Sunday to join the U.S. and other countries at a conference on Iraq this week, raising hopes the government in Tehran would help stabilize its violent neighbor and stem the flow of guns and bombs over the border. In an apparent effort to drive home that point, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told an Iranian envoy that the persistent violence in Iraq - some of it carried out by the Shiite militias Iran is accused of arming - could spill over into neighboring countries, including those that are "supposed to support the Iraqi government.

As legend has it, Narcissus fell for his own reflection and as a punishment was bound to pine for his own image for eternity.

A recent study by a team of psychologists from San Diego State, and the University of Georgia presented the public with results from a recent study on narcissism, a personality trait that translates to vanity and self-absorption.

Britney Bethel was shocked when she flipped open a newspaper last week to read that her photo would be posted on the University of Northern Colorado Web site along with other students who have been banned from the UNC campus. "I was really upset because it felt like a label," the former UNC student said.
