Did you know that October was National Disability Employment Awareness Month? In 1945, Congress enacted this week to highlight the abilities and skills of Americans with disabilities, and expanded it to a month in 1988. Approximately one in five people in the United States has a disability, or about 54 million Americans.

Porcupine Ridge, which is located northeast of Coalville and approximately five miles west of the Utah/Wyoming border, has become a sign of hope for many Utah residents. Wyoming, our eastern neighbor has been using wind energy for some time now. This is something that Utahans are beginning to look into.

Many people celebrate an American holiday, called "Halloween" or what is traditionally known as the old Gaelic word, "Samhain". A combination of two Gaelic words, the word actually means "Summer's End". However, these same people that celebrate with Snickers bars and plastic Jack'O'Lanterns do not really know the origins of this or many of the other holidays that are celebrated yearly or the meaning behind them, or even the symbolism or where it comes from.
